Reunion Sunday 25th July 2010

It was a pleasure to be part of this reunion as not only did we have Ivy Davis, who attended the school between 1930-39 attend, we also were able to welcome many former St Joseph's pupils who completed their schooling at Leigh Road, Saltley. I believe that they found their welcome both warm and sincere. For my part, I felt that their presence was a great uplift to the reunion group, which will hopefully engender a good move forward for all our members. My thanks to Colette Bayliss, nee Kirwan for her hard work in engendering the support for this meeting of former friends.

Christmas 2007 Reunion

As usual we held the reunion at The New Aston Social Club. On this occasion the numbers were small but the quality was high. The evening was supplemented by the St Joseph's Church Choir singing carols, Dave Haynes providing a humorous spot, with jokes, Joe Harford with his entertaining quiz. All this was soundly supported by Len Shields with his excellent background disco, which actually got people on their feet at the end of the evening. A great vote of thanks to them all.

It should be mentioned that many of those attending provided prizes for the raffle.
