Christmas reunion Party 2009

We held our Christmas 2009 reunion at The New Aston Social Cub, Aston Hall Road on Friday 4th December.

A good turnout had been expected and we were not disappointed. Whilst a few of our normal "suspects" were unable to attend, we were pleased to see a few of our more recent joiners in attendance.

I have mentioned before that nearly every reunion brings together former pupils who have not seen each other for many years. This was again so, when Richard O'Connor met Gill Hughes. They had not seen each other for over 40 years.

Many thanks to Joe Harford for preparing his usual quiz.

Our best wishes go out to Frances Burford. A regular supporter of the group, Frances was taken into hospital shortly before leaving for the reunion. It has since transpired that she has been diagnosed with a clot on her lung.

My thanks  to Sr. Catherine for some very nice and structured comments to the group.

Both John and myself would like to that all those who provided raffle prizes and made donation to our funds.

Whilst we are not a fund raising group, we of course needed funds to support our reunions and newsletters, and other communications.

My thanks also to John Tocker for his hard work in arranging the evening.
