Audience with Pope Pius xii whilst on a visit to Rome 8-19th 1958 By pupils from St Joseph’s School and St Vincent’s Vauxhall. Pupils at the Pope’s right hand side are from St Joseph’s. Those on the left, are from St Vincent’s. Amongst those present, Sister Marguerite, stood behind the Pope. Sister Attracta, from St Vincent’s, stood to his left amongst her pupils. Miss Sidebotom, Miss Scally .Delia Kelly, Miss Divine, Lucy Egan, Kathleen Larkin, Mary Wilson, Pat McShane and Annie McShane.

Wedding of Ann and Albert Freeth marrying at St Joseph's on 4th July 1936

Wedding of Michael Freeth, son of Albert and Ann on the 14 October 1961 at St Joseph's to Mavis.

Michael was a pupil at the school 1944/54.

A view of Long Acre almost opposite to where the rear of the church would be. Notice how narrow the houses, which back onto the Methodist Church are.

The building that can just be seen behind the farthest houses was Newton’s Oils.

Percy Kimberley from Railway Terrace, Nechells, is 2nd from Rgt front row. A Len Pitt, also from the Terrace is also on photograph. Not yet identified. A story with other documents discovered will appear on this site soon. Percy's children all attended St joseph's School.
